Obverse

On the obverse side of the 2019 Australian Lunar Pig Lion Privy 1 oz Silver Coin, you will find the depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the 1998 design created by Ian Rank-Broadley initially for use on British coins. Featured on Australian coins from the Perth Mint between 1999 and 2018, the 2019 Lunar Series II coins were the last major bullion issues from the mint for Australian denominations with this bust of the Queen. Other coins shifted to the new Jody Clark design in 2019, but the Perth Mint continued this design to ensure all Lunar Series II coins had the same obverse.

Reverse

The reverse face of 2019 1 oz Australian Silver Lunar Pig Lion Privy Coins includes the Ing Ing Jong design of a mother pig, or sow, with her young piglets. Here, four of the piglets are featured in the grassy field around the sow. To the left side of the design field, there is a large, male African lion inside of a circle serving as the privy mark for this unique release.
