The American Gold Eagle’s obverse features the captivating image of sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ full-length Lady Liberty. With hair and robes flowing in the breeze, Lady Liberty is seen confidently striding forth from the US Capitol and the rising sun with a torch raised in her right hand to guide the nation on its path into the future. She grasps an olive branch for peace in her left hand. She is encircled by 50 stars with “LIBERTY” inscribed within them.
The reverse, designed exclusively for the American Gold Eagle coin by Miley Busiek in 1986, features a male eagle returning to its nested family with an olive branch clutched in its talons. The female eagle awaits his return as she stands watchful guard over her young hatchlings. “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST” are inscribed on the reverse along with with the coin’s weight, purity, and legal tender value.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
