The American Gold Eagle’s breathtaking obverse features Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair and robes, striding forth from the US Capitol and the rising sun. She raises a radiant guiding torch in her right hand and clutches an olive branch in her left. Fifty stars encircle her image with “LIBERTY” inscribed within them.
The Gold Eagle is named after the national bird featured in Miley Busiek’s reverse design. It depicts a male eagle descending on its nest while clutching an olive branch in its talons, as the female eagle stands watchful guard over the young hatchlings below. “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST” are engraved along with with the coin’s weight, purity, and legal tender value.
Since 1792, the US Mint has earned its place as one of the most acclaimed government mints in the world. It has a long track record of producing products that not only celebrate America’s history, symbols, and enduring spirit, but are revered the world over for their quality and artisanship. American Gold Eagles, first minted in 1986, remain a wildly popular choice among novice and experienced collectors alike. Gold Eagles are minted at the West Point branch of the US Mint.

" great products with great deals everyday. I just checked one of providents competitors to find out Provident is cheaper than they are on gold and silver bullion. They seem to work hard to get my business! I have no problem giving it to them."
