The elf is a human-like being with supernatural abilities. Elves originated in Germanic mythology and folklore. Medieval Germanic people thought elves had magical powers and supernatural beauty, which is how the elf on these coins is depicted.

This unique series is currently in its second run. In 2018, there will be five designs released, including the Elf, Centaur, Medusa, Minotaur, and Dragon.
