The 2017 1 oz American Silver Eagle PCGS MS70 | First Strike is an ideal addition to any silver bullion collection. Silver Eagles are made of one troy ounce of .999 fine silver. This Silver Eagle comes sealed in a protective slab, which preserves the condition of the coin as it was when graded by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS).
A First Strike coin is received by PCGS within the first 30 days of the mint’s release. The label on the slab features the First Strike logo and an American flag, along with text that includes “2017,” “$1,” “PCGS MS70,” and “SILVER EAGLE.” A certification of Mint State 70 indicates that a coin is in perfect condition.
Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, Lady Liberty walks toward a sunrise on the obverse. An American flag drapes over her shoulders and laurel and oak rest in her arms. Inscriptions read “LIBERTY,” “2017,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
An eagle perches below 13 stars representing the original American colonies on the reverse, designed by John Mercanti. A banner that says “E PLURIBUS UNUM” sits in the great bird’s beak and it grasps arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Inscriptions read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
