Chinese Panda Silver Coins date back to 1983 when the series debuted as a proof-only release. In 1989, the Chinese Mint established the coins as an annual bullion program similar to its Chinese Gold Panda counterpart and other major coin series, like the American Eagle Silver Coins or Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coins. Right now, you can get 2017 Chinese Panda 30 Gram Silver Coins in perfect condition at Provident Metals with varied labels and grading house slabs.

With your purchase of a 2017 Chinese Panda 30 Gram Silver Coin in this listing, you receive an item that is graded Mint State 70 and housed inside of a sealed protective plastic slab to ensure that condition. An MS70 coin exhibits full, original mint luster and has no detracting flaws present on the design elements of background fields.

A Giant Panda is featured on the obverse of the Chinese Panda 30 Gram Silver Coin every year. For the 2017 Chinese Panda Silver release, the Chinese Mint depicts the massive bear species by showing an adult panda in an upright, seated position as it clutches a broken-off branch of bamboo. The favored meal of the Giant Panda, it is believed that up to 99% of its diet consists of the bamboo plant.

The exterior facade of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests is depicted on the reverse of the 2017 Chinese Panda 30 Gram Silver Coin. Shown on this face of the coin every year, the design focuses on the largest building in the Temple of Heaven Complex. The nation of issue and date mark are also inscribed on this side of the coins.

2017 marked just the second year in which the Chinese Mint issued its popular Chinese Panda bullion coins with Grams instead of Troy ounces as the unit of weight measurement for the coins. The previous 1 oz silver coin weight just over 31 Grams, with the switch to Grams bringing the actual weight of the coin down slightly.

These 2017 Chinese Panda 30 Gram Silver Coins are all in perfect condition. However, we cannot guarantee if your coin will have a PCGS or NGC certification or whether it may feature additional labels, such as First Strike or Early Release. All coins are chosen at random. If you buy multiples, please note you could receive several with matching certification house labels and extra labels included.
