This classic design by Adolph A. Weinman features a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty, wearing a winged cap. Inscriptions include “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “2016.”
The reverse features a Roman fasces and an olive branch, which is meant to symbolize America’s military readiness and a desire for peace. You’ll find the purity, weight, and denomination on this side, along with inscriptions of “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
The 2016-W 1/10 oz Gold Mercury Dime was issued by the US Mint to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Weinman’s treasured design, which first appeared on the 1916 Mercury Dime. The coin got its name because the portrait of Lady Liberty resembles the Roman god. This special anniversary coin was specifically made with a weight of one-tenth of an ounce to symbolize the dime’s denomination. It is made with a business strike finish, with a limited mintage of 125,000.
Every PCGS SP70 First Strike Mercury Dime comes encapsulated to protect its perfect grade, with a special gold foil label. A First Strike coin is one that was released from the mint within the first 30 days of issue.
Each of these gold coins comes sealed in a plastic holder, which is protected by packing materials for safe shipping.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
