Provident Metals is proud to supply the PCGS certified 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle from a popular selection of certified gold bullion. American Gold Eagles are produced by the US Mint, and consist of .9167 fine gold. These 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coins are “First Strike” coins, and have been certified MS70 by the Professional Coin Grading Service and embedded in a PCGS slab.

The obverse of this coin depicts Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ Lady Liberty walking forward holding a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. Bright rays of sunlight extend upward behind Lady Liberty. The obverse also carries the inscriptions “LIBERTY” and “2016”.

The reverse of the Gold Eagle depicts a male bald eagle returning to its nest with an olive branch where a female and young are waiting. The reverse also features the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, “IN GOD WE TRUST”, and “1/2 OZ. FINE GOLD~25 DOLLARS”.

The PCGS label carries the American flag and gold-colored “FIRST STRIKE” status. The label also features the text “2016”, “$25”, “PCGS MS70”, and “Gold Eagle – 30th Anniversary”.

2016 American Gold Eagle Coins are made by the United States Mint. The US Mint was created in the 1970 by the Coinage Act of 1972. The US Mint is responsible for the production of all United States legal tender bullion, including the American Silver Eagle and American Gold Buffalo. American Gold and Silver Eagles were first minted in 1986; 2016 is the 30th anniversary of their production.

How Does Free Shipping Work?

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.

When will my order ship?

Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.

Can I choose the method of shipping?

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.

Will I need to sign for my package?

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

What about International Orders?

Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
