It is possible that some blemished America the Beautiful coins will ship from the US Mint. These imperfections can include, but are not limited to, scratches, rim dings, die polishing, and milk spots. Provident Metals will not selectively retain or ship bullion based on coin quality.
The final release in the 2016 series of America the Beautiful coin series is the Fort Moultrie at Fort Sumter National Monument 5 oz Silver Coin. As with previous releases, the Fort Sumter ATB consists of five troy ounces of .999 fine silver, and is minted at West Point by the US Mint. As these silver coins are backed by the US government, recognized as legal tender, and struck with strict production quality and metal purity specifications, each silver ATB may be included in a precious metals IRA.
The America the Beautiful coin series features many of the United States’ National Parks, Forests, and Memorials. The US Mint began producing 5 oz Silver ATB coins in 2010, and releases 5 new designs each year.
The reverse of this 5 oz Silver ATB features Sergeant William Jasper returning the regimental flag to the ramparts of Fort Moultrie while under attack from a British naval ship. Inscriptions include “FORT MOULTRIE”, “2016”, “SOUTH CAROLINA”, “E PLURIBUS UNUM”.
The obverse of this 5 oz silver coin features the right facing profile of President George Washington with the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “LIBERTY”, “IN GOD WE TRUST”, and “LIBERTY”.
The US Mint has been in operation since 1792, and has largely been responsible for all United States coinage and bullion, including American Gold Eagles and American Silver Eagles.
All 2016 America the Beautiful Coins ship in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, precisely as we receive them from the US Mint. Individual coins ship in a plastic capsule, quantities of 10 ship in a tube, and quantities of 100 ship in a monster box. Quantities that ship in tubes or monster boxes will not ship with plastic capsules.
