Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, dons the obverse. The newest effigy of the queen captures the regality and grace for which she is known. The face value, “5 POUNDS” is inscripted around the border.
The stunning reverse features the first beast in the series- the Lion. As the official best of London, the lion represents courage, strength, and dignity. The masterfully engraved lion stands behind the shield of England, with the characteristics of the coin engraved around it: “LION OF ENGLAND,” “2 OZ,” and “FINE SILVER 9999, 2016.”
The Royal Mint is the umbrella over several other mints in the Queen’s territory. Originally founded in the 9th century, a multitude of stunning bullion coins and rounds have proven the skill and craftsmanship of the artists and engravers at this sovereign mint.

I placed my order on a Sunday. My order was processed and shipped very promptly. It was received on Thursday. Now I did order 10 2 oz Queens Beast of a mixed sort. I thought that they (The coins) would have been shipped in a container. The coins were received in flips.I did contact Provident and spoke to a very nice lady "Laura". She informed me as to why my order would be in single flips. She was very helpful, and this is . I am very pleased. My next order will be coming very soon.something I am responsible for. Now that I am in the know"

I ordered the "Lion", the "Griffin" and the "Red Dragon" on a Thursday night and received them Saturday morning Priority Mail!!! I'm in the Dallas area but that's still amazing order fulfillment. The coins arrived in perfect condition and are really nice. I think I'll be going for the complete series as they become available. The packaging by Provident was excellent."

I have just one word to describe this 2 oz gem. "Amazing!". Love the weight. Love the design, graphics, price and the 9999 purity. I am an American but it's sad to say our mint can't match British, Canadian or Australian mint quality. If you are looking for a heavy round that pleases your eyes, these queen's beast are what you want. My second of the series."

People need to know that provident metals is the only place that you can get an airtight that actually fits the queen beast coins don't listen to any other site that says that the X6D airtight will fit . it will only fit width wise but it is a quarter of an inch too tall and The coin will rattle around do yourself a favor and read the summary of the coin and It will tell you that they have an Air tight coin capsule pacifically for the queens beast coins"

Was excited to order these as they looked great in the pictures and wanted to collect the entire set for the next several years and gift to younger relatives. Ordered 8 of the 2016 Lion and 8 of the 2017 Griffon. 2016 lion looks like a nice coin, but they arrived not perfect. A few dings on the reeded edge, etc. They break loose from their plastic flips in transit and seemingly banged all around. Rated between MS67 and MS69 for the Lion. The 2017 Griffin were even more dinged/damaged and rated even lower (MS66). Overall, probably would not buy again, spend your money on Australian coins, which are nicer, generally have a case to come in and have less dings/scratches when you receive them.

Have the Lion in both silver and gold. Love the feel of the 2 oz. silver coin. The 1 oz. gold coin is one of the most beautiful coins have ever seen.

Very good job on the design (except for the queens mug). I bought 8, but will be buying more. Looking forward to the next 9 designs. I think the value of these will probably double or more, considering it is the first release. Definitely don’t miss out on these.

I really love the design on this coin. Every aspect of it makes it seem like something that royalty would have. Like was already said, the regular air-tite designed for a high-relief 2 oz round is a little big for this coin, but it’s better than nothing at all. I’m looking forward to future releases of the next designs.
