Obverse
On the obverse of the 2010 ATB Grand Canyon Silver Coin you’ll find the familiar portrait of George Washington and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, QUARTER DOLLAR and IN GOD WE TRUST. The obverse design is common to all quarters in the America the Beautiful series, and the Washington portrait by John Flanagan has been featured on quarters since 1932.

Reverse
The reverse side of this coin includes the inscriptions GRAND CANYON, ARIZONA, 2010 and E PLURIBUS UNUM. The image is of prehistoric granaries located at the Grand Canyon in Arizona. These granaries were used by American Indians thousands of years ago to store seeds and other items away from animals and the water in the canyon below. Phebe Hemphill, who also worked on other coins in the ATB series, created the design.

Coins are packaged for shipping in a plastic slab that provides protection and also carries the certification labels. History
The America the Beautiful coins were issued from 2010 through 2021. The goal of the program was to memorialize some of the most iconic and important locations in the nation. One coin was issued for each state, territory and the District of Columbia, creating 56 total coins in the series.
