Obverse
On the obverse of 1995 Koala 1 oz Platinum Coins, you will find a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in a third-generation design from Raphael Maklouf. Reverse
The reverse face of the 1995 Australian Koala Platinum Coin comes with a depiction of a koala. In this design for 1995, a single koala is shown sitting in the Y-branch of a tree trunk. The inscriptions include THE AUSTRALIAN KOALA, 1 OZ., 9995 PLATINUM, and 1995.
History
In 2000, the Perth Mint canceled the Australian Koala Platinum Coin. The decreasing global demand for platinum resulted in numerous platinum bullion collections around the world being curtailed or canceled completely around the start of the 21st century.
