The 1982 Proof Canada Regina Centennial Silver Dollar was originally released in 1982 and has been very popular among investors and collectors everywhere. This coin was manufactured and minted using 50% silver and 50% copper, offering a very unique finish and look with the mixture of the two metals. The coin itself arrives in a black clamshell box and is wrapped in a graphic cardboard sleeve. The cardboard sleeve shows the Royal Canadian Mint as the origin of the coin.

History

The 1982 Proof Canada Regina Centennial Silver Dollar was made to commemorate the history of Canada. This coin was originally designed to celebrate the founding of the city of Regina in Saskatchewan. This city in Canada was founded 100 years ago in 1882, which is engraved on the reverse of the coin.

Obverse

The portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is shown on the obverse of the 1982 Proof Canada Regina Centennial Silver Dollar. The portrait was originally designed by Arnold Machin and shows Her Majestys head, neck, and shoulders. Around the edges of the coin is a circle of small balls that surrounds the design on the obverse. There are also two inscriptions on the obverse: ELIZABETH II and D.G. REGINA.

Reverse

The reverse of the 1982 Proof Canada Regina Centennial Silver Dollar features the design created by Huntley Brown. This design was made to celebrate the anniversary of when the city of Regina was founded. The reverse also shows a large bison skull with the years 1882 and 1982 printed on either side of the skull. The image of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building is shown above the bison skull, with two inscriptions around the skull: REGINA and CANADA DOLLAR.

Will I need to sign for my package?

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
