This design is known as the heraldic eagle and shows the front-facing eagle with the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons. The design includes an oak-and-laurel wreath around the eagle. There are inscriptions of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR around the design, with a CC mint mark shown beneath the center of the wreath.
