Reverse

The reverse of the 1882-CC Morgan Dollar Coin hosts the patriotic heraldic eagle grasping arrows and an olive branch, framed by ornate laurels. Inscriptions read ONE DOLLAR, IN GOD WE TRUST, CC, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

History

The Carson City Mint only sporadically issued these coins between 1878 and 1893, striking just 13.7 million Morgan Dollars in total across that period. This means that only around 2% of all Morgan Dollar Silver Coins, were struck at the Carson City Mint.
