On the obverse face of the 1 oz Copper Panda Round is the image of a Giant Panda mother with its young cub. The panda species is one of the more unique bear species in the world in terms of its dietary sources and its appearance. Native to the mountainous highlands of central China, the panda is unique in appearance with its patches of black and white fur, and is also unique in that bamboo vegetation accounts for upwards of 99% of its nutritional sources. In this design, a mother panda is featured seated on her backside as she uses her massive arms to cradle a young cub and keep it safe.

Reverse
