Obverse

Reverse
On the reverse side of 1 oz Copper Indian Head Bars is an ornate design that includes several American symbols. At the center of the design oval on the bar, you will notice a pair of eagles wings connected to the US heraldic shield. The letters USA are inscribed below that and an American flag flutters in the breeze in the background.
History
The Buffalo Nickel was created by James Earle Fraser and was one of the first major coin denominations to feature images of indigenous peoples and cultures in the design elements. He created the effigy of the stoic Native American by combining the facial features of three real-world leaders of the era. His reverse design featured the might American bison, with Black Diamond from the Central Park Zoo serving as the inspiration for the image.
