These coins are available as cull specimens in this listing. Cull coins have no collectible value, but do maintain the value of the 90% silver contained within each. The cull condition indicates the coins have signs of heavy wear and tear, as well as severe damage such as holes, dents, cracks, deep scratches, contact marks, and hairlines.

Obverse

The obverse side of the 90% Silver Barber Dimes comes with a right-profile bust of Liberty. Designed in a Greco-Roman figure, she has masculine features, a crown wreath on her head, and a cap holding her hair up in a bun at the back of her head. Inscriptions include only United States of America and the date mark.

Reverse

On the reverse face of 90% Silver Barber Dimes is an inscription at the center of One Dime. Around the denomination is a wreath. Coins in this series have a mint mark if struck by the Denver Mint, New Orleans Mint, or San Francisco Mint. Those mint marks of D, O, and S will feature beneath the wreath on this side. Philadelphia Mint coins have no mint marks.

History

The Barber Coinage is named for the designer, Charles E. Barber. Mr. Barber was the 6^th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint and succeeded his father, William Barber, in the role of Chief Engraver.
